So you have a stomach that hangs over the waistband of your

more people have had this problem since low rise jeans became
so popular. The good news is that you can keep your stomach fat
under control. What's more, you can trim stomach fat by
following a few simple suggestions. These might seem a little
too simple but trust us when we tell you that trimming your
stomach fat is as easy as following these few easy tips:
1. Be patient
Thanks to exercise videos and diet supplement ad campaigns,
there are plenty of people out there to tell you that trimming
stomach fat is a snap and that by using a special product or
purchasing a certain type of workout video, you can get the fat
to melt right off of you in no time at all. This couldn't be
farther from the truth! You can lose stomach fat, but you have
to work diligently at it. You will see results, but it might
take a few weeks before they start to become noticeable.
2. Change your diet
Do you find yourself opting for fast food or frozen pizza on
a regular basis? Do you like to fix things that come
pre-packaged (boxed pasta, canned vegetables, etc)? Here is the
scary truth: fast food, pre-packaged foods, etc, all contain
plenty of ingredients that are bad for you. Switch to natural
foods that you make yourself from fresh ingredients. Not only
will this lower your fat intake, but it should lower your
calorie intake as well, since you won't be putting unwanted
products into your body.
3. Exercise regularly
This should be a given. In order to lose weight you need to
build your abdominal muscles up and tone them. The best way to
do this is with a full body workout on a regular basis. Make
sure you get some aerobic and strength training exercise done
on a regular basis. These types of exercises burn more
calories, which in turn causes your body to burn more fat!
4. Stay active
Instead of lounging around, use your relaxation time for
simple exercises you can do at home. There is no rule that says
you can't do some extra abdominal exercises if your goal is
truly to get in better condition. Do some crunches while you
watch television!
Don't listen to people who try to sell you products that are
"guaranteed" to whip the fat off of you!
Only a healthy diet and regular exercise program will work.
Learn everything you can about your body-how it works, what it
needs, etc. Knowing how to keep your body healthy is the first
step to getting the fat off and then keeping it off of you!
