7 Simple Foods To Reduce Belly
Fat! aka: Fat Burning Foods
The key to shedding pounds and getting a flat stomach is to avoid foods that slow metabolism and consume foods
that accelerate the fat burning process. How do
you know which foods are okay and which foods you should avoid?
Here are 7 foods that reduce belly fat:
Beans are an excellent source of fiber, protein, and iron. There is a reason
why this is called the poor man's meat because of its good protein. Beans such as
kidney, lentil, edamame, and navy beans are a good place to start. Just stay away from
refried and baked beans.
Turkey is a good example of a lean meat. Great way to get the meat most people desire
and build up protein and boost your immune system. One thing to avoid is the packged deli turkey
that comes in those plastic containers. Many of these meats are processed and injected with
a solution to keep them fresh longer. These chemicals are a no-no. Stay away.
Eggs have gotten a bad wrap over the years which is totally off base. These
golden orbs are packed with protein and contain 13 other essential vitamins and minerals such as riboflavin, lutein, and Vitamin E. If you are worried about the cholesterol, it's as simple as removing the egg yolk when cooking. Simple. Makes me hungry for a boiled egg just writing about it!
Really? I had to include this in the list. Yes, while avocado does contain fat, it is the fat that your body needs. Good, healthy, nutritious, unsaturated fat. The fat in a large order of french fries from Mcdonalds and the fat in an avocado are the difference between night and day. Hate to disappoint, but you can't eat french fries and expect to burn off that stomach fat.
It is also loaded with vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin K, folate, niacin, and potassium. Short confession, I absolutely love avocadoes :)
Simple and easy to make, oatmeal is a great way to start off your day right. It contains lots of soluble fiber that
helps to break down food and flush out your system. It is also said to lower your cholesterol and combat heart disease. Great fat burning food to add to your diet. Just don't go adding lots of sugar or cream when you eat it. Slicing some fruit on top or berries will do the trick.
Fish is loaded with omega-3 oils which are not only healthy for your heart, but also is shown to speed
up your metabolic rate to burn more fat. Good examples would be tuna, salmon, and those lovely sardines.
Ever wonder why Mediterraneans and the Japanese always seem to have the best health? Well, I know for a fact that fish is a huge part of their diet. Not so much over here in the states.
While not the most popular vegetable, asparagus is considered one of the negative calorie foods or
foods that reduce belly fat. This food is just all around healthy, the more you eat the better. Other great fat burning vegetables are: broccoli, celery, spinach, and cucumbers.
